Stairs with a structural tubular theme. Structurally a tube is immensely strong, and visually has less mass than rectangular solutions. Using this principle we have designed the following:
Tube – A tube in its purest form, in which the user enter the tube to ascend and decend, and forms and encapsulating balustrade.
Stair in tube
3/4 Tube – A curved steel stringer forming the underside of the stair supports cantilevered glass treads. The balustrade uses curved glass
Tube Core – flat and laser cut steel shapes give the illusion of a tube.
Light Tube – this one is a bit mad, very Tron inspired. A 3/4 tube with perforations to allow light to radiate from the structure.
