An organic timber staircase sliced to bits. Using curved shapes we have hidden a steel carcass and created loads of detail and character in this design. The glass treads are supported at the ends, the timber dipping down in the centre forming a valley and lightening the structure. There are two designs here, a straight and helical version, both with interchangeable features.
Slice Straight
A straight version demanded something different, so we have played with an undulating soffit and balustrade height feature wall.

Slice Helical
The helical version of this stair is a bit tamer, in that we have opted to show uniform slices. The helical form creates the drama, but a more varied form as the straight staircase is certainly achievable.
